For some time now, lawyers have been seeing the benefits associated with using online videos for their professional websites. However, this same trend seems to now be making its way among mediators. As Mediation Channel's Diane Levin points out, mediators are now using videos to advertise their services. Perhaps even more importantly, these videos are educating people on how mediation works. Here’s an example: California attorney Lowell Steiger recently encouraged two of his clients to allow him to record a mediation session and has since posted it on YouTube. This video not only effectively demonstrates Steiger's mediation skills, but also gives the viewer an inside look at the process involved.
